WEDDING WORDING EXAMPLES

These days invitation wording is far more relaxed but the most important thing to remember is that the wording should reflect the overall style of your special day and set the tone of your wedding.  A formal event needs traditional formal wording, getting married in a field with a festival feel, then your wording should reflect the relaxed style! Below are a few examples to get you started.

HOST LINE - basically who’s paying for the wedding. YOUR NAMES - traditionally the bride’s name goes first. Same sex marriages you could use alphabetical order. DATE & TIME - Very important! VENUE - full address optional. RECEPTION VENUE if different than ceremony. RSVP - not required if using a seperate reply card or information going on a details card. DRESS CODE - optional.
